This is my third pair of MIST GTX trainers. I bought the same size on line but somehow they are not so well fitting and are bigger than my 'old pair'. They also rub slightly on one ankle so I am not as brilliantly pleased with this pair as i have been with my first two pairs. Each pair has lasted me one year as a good walking trainer and then I have them as a 'muck about. trainer for about another year - for jobs like cutting the lawn, that sort of thing. I am likely to buy again as they are like slippers when I wear them. In fact my first pair I took on a walking holiday and had no problems with fit at all, having only bought them within a week of the holiday.

Perfect shoes. I did have to order 6 pairs before I found ones that were the right fit. I normally take Hotter 5.5 or 6 in standard fitting but had to go with the extra wide in 5.5. Maybe they came up narrower than usual because of the gtx lining. That said the ones I settled on have been brilliant. Very comfy to walk in all day on all sorts of terrain (during my holiday in Scotland) and the waterproof lining worked on a boggy walk. Very pleased.

Which fitting is right for you?

Standard fit

This is the most common fitting within our collection. If you usually buy a standard fit when buying footwear, we recommend trying this fit, otherwise known as a ‘D’ fit for women and ‘F-G’ for men.

Wide fit

Our second biggest fitting, perfect for those who want a little more room in their shoes. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘E-EE’ fit for women.

Extra Wide fit

This is the broadest of all our fittings, giving your feet extra room in your shoes to help you stay comfortable. This fitting is otherwise known as a ‘EEE’ fit for women.

Dual fit

This means the shoe will have a 2mm foam removable insole underneath its top insole, which when removed helps to offer a roomier fit.

There is no such thing as the perfect foot, but there might just be such a thing as the perfect fit.
